Relieved after carefully listening, Cyrus let out a sigh.
“Hilliard, can you just say everything at once? I was almost scared to death when you paused earlier.”
Finally feeling assured about his own condition, Nathan smiled.
“It looks like it’s true that doctors enjoy frightening their patients.”
Disregarding their jokes, Hilliard stood in front of the bedside table, organized Nathan’s test results and said slowly, “I strongly advise you to undergo the surgery as soon as possible. Tomorrow afternoon, Cyrus will take you to the hospital, and I’ll make the necessary preparations to perform the surgery discreetly.”
“Alright,” Cyrus nodded.
When they left the lab, it was already approaching ten o’clock in the evening.
The snowfall had intensified outside. Hilliard shielded Nathan from the wind and snow with an umbrella, while Cyrus supported him as they made their way to the car.
The three of them headed towards the outdoor parking lot outside the lab.
Suddenly, a snowball came hurtling from behind and aimed at the back of Nathan’s head.
Reacting swiftly, Hilliard used the black umbrella in his hand to block the projectile just in time.
“Who’s there? How dare you attack us from behind?” Cyrus narrowed his sharp eyes and snapped in a low voice, full of killing intent.

Cyrus snorted and retorted, “This is the entrance to a lab. Who are you trying to fool by claiming to be playing games here in the middle of the night?”
The girl hung her head in sadness, like she was unsure of how to explain herself.
Nathan’s voice dropped to a low murmur.
“Never mind. Let’s just go back.”
Her boyfriend, visibly unhappy at the scolding, retorted, “What’s your problem? Just because you’re rich so you can treat my girlfriend like this? We already apologized. Why are you being so aggressive?”
